Did you mean 'a colonial like me' Nick? It's a lengthy old climb to the Veste but through a beautiful park, with lovely views, so well worthwhile. Also a very nice old town to wander around. Don't recall finding anything interesting in the beer line in Coburg but, if you can persuade someone else to do the driving, Sesslach is close by (not on train route) and absolutely worth visiting. Also places like Vierzehnheiligen (brewery and/or church) and a myriad of places around Bad Staffelstein. Going by train limits your possibilities. |
