| This one is probably only going to be comprehensible to Gerhard or Nick! According to the Bamberg Stadtwerke tariff (http://www.stadtwerke-bamberg.de/cms/OePNV/Fahrkarten/Tarifuebersicht_und_Fahrkartensortiment_241922.html), there is a 7-day Mobi-card at a cost of €12.20 but it only covers 'rate k' - there is a similar card for €20 covering tariff 2, which is 2 zone to and from zone 1100 (Bamberg Stadtgebiet) - I think that I bought this ticket when we were staying in Dorfleins/Hallstadt. However, there is no mobi-card for zone 1 only. I have looked all over the Stadtwerke Bamberg and VGN sites but I can't find a definition of zone K, relating to Bamberg. I had a 'discussion' on this matter with a guy in the Stadtwerke office at Bamberg zob - his English was a bit like my German and it ended up with me handing back my €12.20 Mobi-card, which we had been happily using for several days in Bamberg (you know, the bus drivers never check them) and him giving me back some money - a very strange deal, which I think we just about won! I need this info desperately to complete my studies for a Masters in VGN tariffs and zones! |
