I wonder what percentage of the population has Cornish/Celtic roots? In addition to the holiday makers, there has settlement from other parts of England for centuries. The least desirable seems to be that around Padstow, perhaps influenced by Rick Stein, where locals cannot afford to buy homes because property prices have been vastly inflated by the cost of holiday homes, a phenomenon which is prevalent in many other 'nice' parts of Britain.
