[That should be "customs" instead of "toll", FWIW.] Next, crush 3200 g of organic Weyermann PA and 170 g organic Weizen Malz with the most excellent (some might even say "awesome") Barley Crusher mill: < http://i50.tinypic.com/21kxml5.jpg > Add 20 litres of boiled-for-an-hour water at 157° F (AKA hot liquor) to the pre-heated mash tun equipped with a 12" Bazooka lauter screen: < http://i50.tinypic.com/t6qlgy.jpg > Mash-in: Verify that the liquor temp has dropped to around 154 F and add the crushed grains, stir, and put the lid on the mash tun: < http://i45.tinypic.com/rb9z85.jpg > Verify after a few minutes that the temp has stabilised at around 149 or 150 F, then let the mash run for a half hour or so. Heat 3 litres of water to a boil and add to the mash, to bring the temp up to 154 or 155 F. ...to be continued... |
