| It should be noted that this is about breweries in Bavaria, not limited only to Frankenland. The numbers are actually quite impressive: assuming that the 27 percent of samples means 27 percent of the breweries tested, rather than 27 percent of beers. And if that 27 percent is more than 222 breweries (the article vaguely describes the 222 as "in many cases"), the total number of breweries in Bavaria could be close to 1000. I hadn't realised there were that many. |
