VGN Bamberg

In my previous visits to Bamberg, I have bought a 9-uhr Mobi card and intend to buy a one-month version for Forchheim for our forthcoming visit. I think the one for Forchheim costs €32.70 and is a K zone card - basically, Forchheim city limits. One thing that I can't find on the VGN website is what happens if you take a bus, say the 265 to Hallernforf, and travel outside the K zone. Do you have to pay the full fare from Forchheim to Hallerndorf or only the fare from the K zone boundary to destination?
