Yes, brewery closures here tend to happen because of various reasons completely unrelated to the so-called "global financial crisis", AKA "lack of long-term fiscal responsibility", perhaps not surprisingly, since these people tend to be rather fiscally responsible. AFAICT, closures here tend to be related to breweries and brewers getting old; the former requiring expensive improvements to conform to health department regulations and the latter requiring someone young to take over the hard, low-profit work of running a brewery in a tiny country village far from where all the cool kids hang out.
