FWIW, I was able to buy "heen en terug" tickets for us at several stations in Flanders in December. Probably in a horrible accent though. Bit of a softer 'g' in Ghent than in Amsterdam. I was warned to not try and sound too *Dutch* whilst in Flanders. Dutch is an even more interesting language now that we know German.
