Rauchbier recommendations.

My favourite Rauchbier is that from Brauerei Kundmüller, Weiher. It's not as brutally smoky as Schlenkerla or Spezial and has very lively flavours. Best from tap at the brewery. Weiher is two kms from Viereth, west of Bamberg. The other one I liked very much was the Rauchbier from Barnikel, Herrnsdorf, which seems to be closed at the moment. Hopefully only temporarily. If someone is interested in critical opinions, too: I hate the Rauchbier (Posthörnla) of brewery Hönig, Tiefenellern. When I tried it for the first time, it tasted lifeless and boring. Gave it a second try, which was a mistake. I hate it. Jürgen
