| Wish I had more to contribute than this: as a Telekom customer, I can say that their coverage in the countryside is also not perfect. Some tables at Roppelt's Keller are covered, some aren't. And in the Gaststätte...forget it! All this Tschibo talk leads me to suspect it's more complicated in this country than it has been for me in Ængland. There, I just go to a T-Mobile shop and get a SIM for 5 or 10 quid and get 6 months' free internet. Telephone minutes and SMSs are expensive, but that's no problem for me. In Belgium a couple of months ago, it was basically the same (though not at T-Mobile, I forget which other telecom company we went to) though much more complicated getting the access turned on. Took the guy 5 or 10 minutes to get it set up. |
