| Unfortunately the last 2 years were dark years for the Franconian brewery lanscape. I complete the list of closures: Sippel, Baunach Hümmer, Breitengürßbach Zeltbräu, Hof Glenk, Bayreuth Gottsmannsgrüner brewery, Gottsmannsgrün The neyt closure would be brewery Strößner at Ahornberg. Beer and food were fine like always in past. A lot oft guests were in it, so I didn´t expect a closure. A few years ago the Löwenbräu Neeb at Unterschleichach (2 kilometers from Zenglein) also closed. Löwenbräu beers (Voll- and Bauernbier) also were very very fine. Further I am a big fan of Baptist Bräutigam´s dark smokey beer which he only brewed in summer months. Locals told me that Mr. Bräutigam often is his best guest himself. At my last visit he drunk so much of his beer that he wanted me to pay my beers three times...
