Taxi @ Hirschaid

Tonight I considered calling the Anruf taxi-bus from Roppelt's, but the main reason that I decided against it was that it would only take me to either Eggolsheim or Forchheim. Instead I called the regular taxi and rode it to Hirschaid. My GPS says that it is only 5 miles from Stiebarlimbach to Hirschaid, compared to almost 9 miles to Eggolsheim. Taxi today FROM Hirschaid to Stiebarlimbach was 17.80 Euros and TO Hirschaid was 17.50 Euros (same driver). Good deal if you are short on time. And from Hirschaid you have both the Local train (S-Bahn) and RE as options back to Bamberg. Btw, great time at Roppelt's today with beautiful weather. Delicious Scheinehaxe, too. I did not even bother walking up the Kreuzberg, but I plan at least one more visit before my trip ends.
