Das Wetter

In rains all the time in summer in Yorkshire! Spoken like a true Lancastrian. Seriously, the hills part of it sounds like a really good idea; growing up in Manchester in the 50s/60s, a trip to the Pennines for a good hike was obligatory and it's great walking and drinking country. Whitby lovely and Scarborough an interesting Victorian relic, though I suppose modernised now. Don't know about the inbetween bit. Ware spending 2 nights in Manchester at the end of August on our way to Bamberg. Will try to get in a few pints of the local amber nectar (Holts, Hydes, Robbies) and maybe find some of the new breweries that are completely unknown to me.
