Cucumbers: what are the recommendations?

Funny thing is we have either become completely desensitised to skunking, or something's different with the sun over on this side of the world, because hoppy beer just doesn't seem to get light-struck. Seriously. Pale ale used to start to go skunky after a minute or two in the sun back in Oregon, but here, we can sit outside with a glass of Pils, Kellerbier, or my trans-Atlantic golden ale ("Hopfenblüten Tee" as my Kellermates have described what they imagine my beer tastes like) in direct sunshine and nothing happens. It's possible I'll be back in the US for the first time in over five years later this year; I'll have to experiment.
