| Checking my notes, I finally visited Barkikel last November (Monday the 22nd, 2010). I took bus 983 from Bamberg, €3.70 one way, ca. 35 min. each way. I was the only customer for lunch until an older couple arrived. I thought the Lagerbier (vom Fass) was fair, the Dunkel (Flasche) was good, and the Bockbier (vom Fass) was very good. When the Bockbier is on-tap, they take the Rauchbier off. I am glad I went, but am not in a big hurry to return, though it is a fairly easy lunch trip, so maybe I will go back to try the Rauchbier.
