| This came up a while back as well and JosB had suggested November around the time of the Brau in Nürnberg. Personally, I'd prefer late Spring as the kellers would be open and we could also organize some bike trips. (also true if arranged around Annafest or Sandkerwa) I think it needs to be a year in advance so people can arrange vacation and travel schedules. Ideally, what I'd like is for it to be an annual thing, in that a time is picked (e.g. last weekend in May, 2nd weekend in June, etc.) and it's very casual "come if you can, if not, try again next year." I have a family reunion that works that way and it has been successful. (no family guilt if you can't make it). |
