Nick, In your example "Eine Tasse Tee", isn't the reason you use the gender of "Tasse" because Tasse is in the nominative case while Tee is in the Genitive? So, there is really no question. As for Schweinehaxe, maybe I have spent too much time in Franconia and Bavaria, but I swear that is the way I have seen this word spelled even in Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. Cheers |
