"Talking about methods of dispensing beers, it was common practice for the surplus beer that went into the drip tray to be returned to the barrel via a return line." I've heard of this before, but have forgotten what it's called. And the people from whom I've heard of it have said --amazingly-- that it wasn't all that bad. Sounds utterly disgusting though. Unsanitary and just plain gross. ("Gross" here is "ekelhaft", not "grob" or "gesamt".)
