| Just to give you some idea of the problem of getting from the West of Ireland to Bavaria, other than using Ryainair. The total cost of our flights from Shannon to Frankfurt; Altenburg to Shannon is €90. I've just checked on the direct flight from Stansted - Nuremburg - Stansted and it comes to €287 for 2 people. Add to that the Snn - Stn Ryanair flights and the total comes to €327! In addition, the AirBelrin STN - NUE flight leaves STN at 07.15, which is totally impossible! I've have checked transiting other European airports but I'm sure that the costs are not going to be less. So, although our journey is a bit tricky, it's the only practical way. I may seem a bit nit-picking on costs but, sadly, being a senior citizen on a fixed income, you've got to be careful! |
