Got home last night at 21:45, about 20.5 hours after leaving Bamberg. Overall a nice trip home. I had no one next to me on the flights from Nürnberg and Frankfurt, so that was very nice. Flight from Philly to Boston was one hour late, but that is typical for Philadelphia (and since I had a first class upgrade, it just meant some extra Bloody Marys to drink). This was the first time I used Nürnberg airport for an outbound flight. Very nice, small airport. I will use it again. And flying from there removes the need for a night in Frankfurt before the flight from there (yes, in theory you can take a train from Bamberg directly to Frankfurt the morning of your flight, but I never felt comfortable with that). That was a long trip, and it is good to be home.
