Ideas for a trip to Bamberg & Franconia

Hello Phil,have you thought about staying at ,say, Fassla. half the price of Ibis and breakfast included. the owner Herr Kalb speaks good English. if you are apprehensive about phoning contact the bamberg tourist office(I found e mail the best) they also speak good English and will do the booking for you. have a look at the possibility of a day trip on the line out to Bad Staffelstein,good regular train and bus service,lots of traditional brauerei-gasthaus.and one or two real gems,that are not so easy to get to by public transport but close to b/staff,and very affordable by taxi if there a a few of you.
