I didn't realize Yank homebrewers loved to talk about northern German Pils. I don't. Other homebrewers I know don't. But at any rate a couple of others come to mind. König Pilsener from Nordrhein-Westfalen and Flensburger Pilsener from Flensburg. I've never had a Jever so I don't know how it compares but these two, especially the König, seemed to be fairly dry and hoppy. Personally I'd take Keesman anyday over any of these although my friends from Hamburg disagree of course.
