Oh yeah, Lommi is very much re-opened. Their beer supplier, Päffgen, took over the place, and updated it with a pleasantly light touch. The pork chops are as massive as ever, the platters are as piled high with frites as before, and the Kölsch as plentiful as it was. The only thing missing is the old landlord himself (may he RIP), but the crowd still shows up and waits for the doors to open up at dinnertime, and it's still worth a visit. It's also not that much of a walk to the U-Bahn station. |
