On my latest trip, I grew to love the copper-coloured vollbier style, as brewed by: Penning of Hetzeldorf ("Hetzi") Meister of Unterzaunsbach Lindenbrau of Graefenberg Sadly, I had to cancel a trip to the Meister brewery, due to a combination of torrential rain and the bus not turning up (turned out it was a Montag but *not* a schuletag). I made it to Lindenbrau, though. What a great pint they brew! I haven't seen this style of beer around Bamberg. Is it restricted to a small geographical area in the Frankische Schweiz? Mike |
