No problem--I understood exactly what you meant. The Aufsesser place is big and fancy. Their Fest-, Bock-, and Zwickelbiers are good though, if you haven't tried them. And I personally drink a lot of their bottled Pils, but that's my particular taste. Technically speaking, their Pils says "hard water" to me. It's somewhat minerally, and I wonder if this is because of the hard water in the region, compared to what Pils is supposed to be brewed with. How are you going to get around? If you haven't seen them already, Fred's made some very useful maps: http://www.franconiabeerguide.com/map.asp?Region=Bayreuth http://www.franconiabeerguide.com/map.asp?Region=Forchheim http://www.franconiabeerguide.com/map.asp?Region=Bamberg Fred, you should put these on the "Browse Breweries" page or something. |
