| You have to have musik with your bier. Here are my two cents. Best place for Bier drinking musik is Milwaukee in July at their Germanfest. Last 3 or 4 days and they fly in German bands. Right on the lake. (Been there a few times) Out west the best musik (I've gone many times but not this year as I am going to Bayern and Franconia in September) is Mt. Angel's Oktoberfest in Sept. South of Portland. Lufthansa flies in the Donau Musikanten from New Ulm. They are an institution at this fest. Great musik and gemuetlichkeit. Last 4 days. This one I am going to in 2010. First week in November, Wurstfest in New Braunfels, Texas. Just out of San Antonio on the way to Austin. They fly in German band plus a lot of homegrown German bands. I haven't seen San Antonio so I kill 2 birds with one stone. Somebody might have use for this. Frank |
