| Unless things have changed much in Bamberg, there are only three breweries that are directly affiliated with lodgings. Two, Spezial and Fässla, are across the street from each other, and the main difference is that Spezial has only seven guest rooms. Otherwise, they both offer good value budget accommodation, as well as convenient locations for the city center and the train station. The other brewery-affiliated hotel, the Altenburgblick (owned by the the same family that owns Greifenklau; the pub is a quick uphill walk from the hotel), is maybe a notch upscale (if Fässla and Spezial are **, the Altenburgblick is ***), and it is a nice place to stay, but farther out from the town center, much farther from the train station, and more expensive than the other two. |
