I made it to Bamberg this evening from Antwerp. For the first time in years, I had no problems with the trains!!! Got to my hotel at 6:45 pm, and was in Spezial by 7:30 pm. The "U" was absolutely fantastic. Soft and very hoppy. (The Putenschnitzel was also very good.) Next I went to Mahrs and had some of their "U". Also very enjozable, but less hoppy and more biscuity. The Hell was also nice. I think I was sitting at the Stammtisch overflow based on the people coming over to say goodnight to the guys at my table. Stopped briefly at Cafe Abseits and had a Kathrein Bock (I am not a big fan of this beer) and a Mönchsambacher Lager (very nice). Not sure of the itinerary tomorrow.
