Maisel's closing effect

ONE evening in Bamberg? Ack! Rearrange your schedule! And the Spezial Keller next to the WR really can't be beat for the view. Go to both. (And ask inside if they have "U" on tap; the servers only serve the Rauchbier/Lager, and deny knowledge of the existence of U at the Keller...I've never understood why this is.) Seriously, one of the other posts here reflects what I read in the paper a while back: The brewery isn't necessarily being shut down, but bankruptcy proceedings have begun. Which, of course, very well could lead to the brewery's eventual shut down, but I don't think it's a certainty yet. [...google...] This http://www.kanzlei-linse.de/insolvenz_aktuell.htm is a report on the insolvency proceedings from 17.06. Key points: - The brewery is operating with reduced personnel under an insolvency administrator, who expects operations to continue for the time being, to "ensure the supply of Bamberger beer specialties". - Negotiations for "interested parties" to take over operations are going forward. - Rumo(u)rs of further Danish cash infusions are unfortunately not true. - The financial situation worsens with every day of continued operation. Wages are three months behind schedule. The Maisel Kellerbier I had in Erlangen a week ago or so was just fine.
