Erlangen recommendations

I came across the message that the brewery tap of Kitzmann has reopened. Don't know however what it is like. I think it is quite safe to go to the Steinbach brewpub as well - it is set up by the local maltings. The location of the Erlanger Bergkirchweih might also be worth a visit. I'm not sure if you'll find Erlangen very exciting, I have the feeling it is a Kitzmann and Siemens dominated town.
