| Sorry, sloppy writing on my part previously. There is one "Tag des deutschen Bieres" (Day of German Beer), falling on the day that the Reinheitsgebot is celebrated, IIRC, the 3rd Saturday in April, when breweries the country over open their doors, reduce prices, and generally discourage any discouragement of partaking of German beer. This other listing of a "Day of Beer" as described only in English on the Bamberg info webbie appears to be something unique to Bamberg, though no mention is made of it anywhere other than the one calendar-of-events listing in English. I wonder if it isn't a mistake, that it should actually be a listing for the real Tag des deutschen Bieres later in the month... |
