Kulmbach is not that interesting, although the brewerymuseum is well worth a visit. The Basilica outside Lichtenfels: probably you're referring to the Vierzehnheiligen monastery - yes, worth a visit (although IMHO OTT rocococococo) and definitely do not miss the Trunk brewery. Weismein is a nice little historic town, and home to my favourite konditorei for Kaffee und Kuchen, Cafe Besold. Don't miss Pottenstein (nice atmospheric town). Jos
