| The only things that pop into mind for me are: Hirschaid instead of Buttenheim: Take the nicer, faster RE train there, the beer range is good and only available there, the food is excellent, and the place is very nice. It's also only a 5 minute walk from the Bahnhof instead of about a mile from the "Buttenheim" Bf to Buttenheim...not a big deal if the weather's nice. Both Buttenheim and Hirschaid are arrivable by bus, should there be a sudden strike. The Dokuzentrum might be busy on a Sunday, if this is something to be concerned about, then you could swap your Friday & Sunday plans. You could also hop off the RE in Hirschaid on the way back to Bamberg for a couple of hours if you forego Hirschaid in favour of Buttenheim on Do.
