Sorry Nick - most Britons think the standard strength for beer is their standard session bitter, some 3.8-4 %ABV. Any beer of 5% is then "strong". You may have missed the "SCNR". And I'm not from Holland - that's the Prussian part of the Netherlands. As far as taste goes - strength doesn't really matter, I know some very good real ales of <4%ABV. And I prefer a Chodovar 10 over any Munich standard strength ("strong" for some?) lager (just to give an example). |
