DB Gets Tough

Dutch railways (NS) introduced this a few years back. There are ticket vending machines at all stations, which is not the case in Belgium, so there you can still buy your ticket from the inspector, without paying extra. If you board the train at a manned station, you must warn the inspector and pay extra. Belgian ticket vending machines are useless to non-Belgians, and quite often out of order. Jan
