It is about 1 mile from the station to Buttenheim. It took me about 20 mins when I visited. You have to walk beside a busy road for part of the way, but it is easy to find. I can't recall there being any taxis at the station. The St Georgen and Lowenbrau breweries are right next to each other. Buttenheim seems to be a small place, similar in my mind to Memmelsdorf. There is also a museum there concerning a famous local boy... Levi Strauss. St Georgen kellerbier is available in a few places in Bamberg. In my opinion, worth a visit. But I am a *big* fan of St Georgen kellerbier. Mike
