Couple more questions - Bamberg and Munich

It takes more than a holiday to close the breweries in Bamberg. I've been there on May 1 and I drank lots of beer, so that's not a problem. Shops may be closed and breweries will likely follow their Sunday hours -- most are open then but a few a close. I also was once in Bamberg on my birthday and I celebrated by... ...drinking beer :) Schlenkerla is closed Tuesdays, so don't plan to celebrate there. All the others should be open. I might try and drink a beer from each brewery -- luckily, many resturants and the brewpub Ambräusianum next door (but one) to Schlenkerla serve the Schlenkerla Märzen.
