Bamberg beer types: newbie questions

Thanks for all your replies. I'll know more once I have actually visited a few beer halls in Bamberg. A couple of questions about outdoor beer gardens if the weather is nice... Question 1: I understand there are several outdoor beer gardens on the hill South of Bamberg. I expect these are similar to the outdoor beer gardens in the Englischer Garten in Munich. Are the beer gardens in Bamberg open every day in late Aug/early Sept? Question 2: Forchcheim. Are the "Annafest" beer gardens open every day? How far from the bahnhof are they? Mike
