Düsseldorf and NRW Smoking

It was recent; in fact, it was just a few weeks old when we arrived in metropolitan Cologne (Bergisch Gladbach really) last June. It's nice for us non-smokers, but already, the wailing and gnashing of teeth among the former smoking-mandatory corner pubs has begun, and shutdowns are being blamed on the new rules, much like has occurred in the UK (never mind that other reasons come into play as well). It still doesn't occur to such people that the solution is simple: quit smoking.
