Nick, you surprise me ... It is Schlachtschüssel, of course, with a short ü, even with the old school spelling rules. Quick and easy rule for you all, with the modern spelling, a vowel is short if followed by two consonant letters, therefore the difference between ss and ß, tz and z. Enjoy 24 June
