Comparing Bland Beer

Forgot to add: yes, I am extraordinarily lucky to be able to live where I do! Just not necessarily as much for the beer as the beer culture, and even that isn't nearly as important to us as other aspects of living here are. Comparing the different pale Münchner beers vom Bauchfass (if not *Holzfass*) side-by-side isn't easy. But our last visit, going on two years ago now, saw us enjoying every other example of pale beer in town more than the Edelstoff, as we wandered from one Biergarten to another.
