| Well, it was a lovely, lovely weekend weather-wise. Again. And we discovered that neither the Laufer Keller, nor Roppelt's, nor Lieberth's Dorfkeller, nor Witzgall's, nor the Schwarzes Kreuz Keller(s) were open on yesterday's bike tour. Witzgall is no surprise, of course, being closed until 1 May out of tradition. Roppelt appear to be doing some construction work yet again this year (last year's roof overhang in front of the warmes Essen Ausgabe and 2010's inclement weather house being welcome additions), so I suppose he's been occupied with that and not opening the Keller early. No signs of life at the others except the Schwarzes Kreuz, where they're doing cleanup and getting the place ready. The Kreuzberger Keller(s) appeared to be heaving, judging by the car traffic (parking at Roppelt's and walking up, etc.), so we avoided them. The Lager at the Schwarzes Kreuz Brauereigaststätte was in fine form though, and only 1,70€ a Seidla. |
