| In Regensburg you will find excellent helles and dunkel beers. The Spital beer garden is a must visit. Also the Kneitinger tap. I was very impressed by the brew pubs in town -- Weizenbrauhaus and Furstlich (formerly Thurn & Taxis). There is also an impressive Munich Hofbrau outlet in the centre of town. They had a special bock bier from the wood when I was there. The Oma Plusch pub is worth a visit. Several interesting brews on tap (Lowenbrau of Passau, Augustiner Edelstoff) and good, cheap meals. Well worth a visit. Mike |
