Bamberg for kids?

I am scheming to get my wife and kids to accompany me on a vacation in Germany next summer. I would love to spend a few days in Bamberg as part of this trip and I was wondering if there are sights and/or activities that 11 and 8 year old girls would enjoy in Bamberg/Franconia. I want to go for the beer, of course, but I want to be sure the rest of the family enjoys the trip also.
