Wilde Rose: brewery?

Yes - there is definitely a connection. The hotel in the centre used to be the location where the wort was produced until 1971. The Wilde Rose keller is the place where the fermenting and lagering took place (some of the old equipment is still in the keller underneath the garden). The family who ran the brewery until it closed still runs the Wilde Rose keller. The cellar under the garden however now accomodates the Robesbierre microbrewery. And no - Wilde Rose is no longer an "official" Bamberg brewery, as it no longer produces beer (and thus it is not even an "unofficial" brewery - it is just not a brewery).
