Mahrs-Bräu to boycott returnable crates system |

| Stefan Michel's ongoing campaign to run Mahr’s Bräu into the ground takes a new turn as the brewery announces on Facebook its intention to depart from the German reusable beer crates system and use cardboard cartons instead. Apparently the brewery is losing 200.000 EUR a year due to its own stupid decision to market its beer in custom crates which do not make it back to the brewery from foreign parts (Berlin). Hopefully the conservatism of local drinkers who are used to picking up a crate will put an end to this nonsense. |
