This Friday evening there is a small local cask beer festival here on Cape Cod that the missus and I are going to. It involves 5 local breweries. But I'm looking at the beer list and descriptions now and having a good laugh thinking about what Barry's reaction would be. Here are some examples: "Porter with Cape Cod Coffee Scandinavian Blend Whole Beans and Taza Roasted Cocoa Nibs" "Harvest Ale Cask loaded with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg clove & brown sugar!" "Aged Porter on vanilla beans, Hungarian oak chips soaked in coconut rum & salted caramel." "Full of Stars Imperial Stout aged in a Dirty Water Distillery rum barrel!" There are some relatively normal beers on offer too like an Oatmeal stout, IPA, Red ale, etc. but I'll be sure to report back on how the Porter with Hungarian oak chips and coconut rum and salted caramel tastes. |
