A small self congratulatory anecdote. At the brewery the owner ( southern Irish) asked me if I could "make Guiness" I said I could make a copy, and duly did.He said something similar to you."Tastes like Guiness from the seventies" we sold it unfiltered,in kegs, served chilled from a font.It became the best seller, and much to the dismay of the Guiness rep, replaced his product on the bars! I had to stop the barstaff refering to it as "our Guiness" For fear of legal retribution. |
