Good point. In my own particular interest, it's not so much about violating the Reinheitsgebot, rather, the idea of German/Bavarian/Franconian/Bamberger beer's superiority. Indeed, conforming to the Reinheitsgebot and being not German and nevertheless excellent would probably best suit that purpose. Or I'll think up something else.
