Thats interesting Mark,I have never been to the states, but can understand that bars in places such as cape cod can extract obscene prices from customers,as they do in the touristy and affluent parts of the uk.Without wanting to get political, this is not the place. Do you think that prices are set according to local living standards as they are here in Britain? or to the level the individual owner believes they can get away with? Wetherspoons charge £3-30 for a beer in surrey, that they sell for £2-10 in .Doncaster.and their prices are set town by town according to local conditions,re wages unemployment rates etc. |
